A dating app concept built around personality and shared interests. From discovery and profile prompts to matches and conversations, a clear product journey brings Mora’s idea of connection to life.

From an idea to a first connection

Mora is a concept dating company with a simple proposition: help people find someone they genuinely want to get to know. We shaped the app around the moments that make that possible, from creating a profile to discovering shared interests and starting a conversation.

Our scope brought together product strategy, UX, visual design and an implementation plan for the first release. We mapped the essential journey before designing individual screens, keeping registration, discovery, matches and conversations connected through a clear structure.

Make personality easy to discover

We built the discovery experience around one profile at a time. A large portrait creates the first impression, while interests and a short personal prompt give people something more specific to respond to. Details such as distance provide useful context without overwhelming the card.

The visual system pairs black surfaces with confident white typography. Acid lime marks primary actions and selected states, purple distinguishes interests, and red is reserved for the like action. The contrast gives the interface energy while keeping the person at its centre.

  • Introduce each person through a portrait, interests and a conversation prompt.

  • Keep Discover, Matches, Chats and You in a consistent bottom navigation.

  • Make registration and returning sign-in short, clear journeys.

  • Keep filters accessible without interrupting profile browsing.

Connect the screens into a product

We developed the interface direction as a shared component system, covering profile cards, interest tags, prompt panels, form fields and navigation. Reusable patterns give new screens a consistent hierarchy and provide a clear basis for implementation.

The development specification connects account creation, profile editing, preferences, mutual matches and messaging. It also defines the less visible moments: validation, loading, empty results, connection errors and account recovery. These states help the experience remain understandable when the happy path is interrupted.

Privacy and personal control are part of the proposed product structure. Reporting and blocking need to be easy to reach, permissions should be explained when requested, and people should be able to manage profile visibility and account settings.

Before launch, the delivery plan includes testing across screen sizes, checking text and image loading, reviewing accessibility and validating the complete path from sign-in to a first conversation. Event tracking separates registration from meaningful activity so the team can understand where people make progress.

Measure the first weeks of growth

1 900 registrations in the first 30 days

New users registered during Mora’s first month after launch.

We defined the measurement approach around registration, profile completion, first mutual match and first conversation. Each metric needs a clear cohort and time window, allowing the team to identify friction and prioritise improvements after release.

The concept gives Mora a coherent product direction, a reusable interface system and a practical plan for development and launch evaluation. The goal is to turn initial curiosity into a comfortable first interaction, then give people a reason to return.
